Logan Baseball Card Show Set for January 6th

The John A. Logan College Athletic Department and the First Bank & Trust Company of Murphysboro will present the 22nd annual Jerome "Mimi" Alongi Baseball Card and Sports Memorabilia Show on Sunday, January 6, in the gymnasium at John A. Logan College. The show will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendors from all over the Midwest will display and sell their goods.

Brad Thompson, a right-handed pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, is this year's special guest and will sign autographs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The admission price to the show is $2 and proceeds go to benefit Logan's baseball program.

"I hope we have a good turnout at the show," said Jerry Halstead, athletic director and head baseball coach at Logan. "It offers a wide variety of sports memorabilia and is an important fundraiser for our baseball team."
