ULLIN -- John A. Logan came from behind in the second half to claim a 71-63 road win over Shawnee on Saturday.

The Volunteers, 15-5 and 8-3 in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference, trailed by as many as 14 points with 7 minutes remaining in the opening half but got within five on a pair of triples by Carbondale’s Allen Billinger in the final minute of the half to trail by just 37-32 at the break.

Billinger gave the Vols their first lead at 40-39 on a base line drive with 11:54 remaining.  It was back and forth with Shawnee (11-7 and 7-3) able to score just 26 points in the second half. 

Billinger and Jerome Davis led Logan with 14 points each while Will Robinson added 12 and Jalen Perry scored 11.

Shawnee was led by Darrell Bowman with 16 points and Sayveon McEwen had 15.
