Volunteers Drop Game to Harcum College, 101-96
November 12, 2016
Vincennes, IN –The John A. Logan men's basketball team led by as many as 13 points in the first half and held a 52-47 advantage at the half, but the Vols could not hold off high-scoring Harcum College of Pennsylvania and dropped a 101-96 decision Friday in Sodexo Classic at Vincennes University.
Harcum (4-0) moved ahead, 74-73, with 11 minutes remaining and maintained the lead for most of the game. Logan tied the score at 92, but two straight offensive rebound baskets by the Bears, who dominated the boards in the second half, proved to be too much for the Vols.
Michael Tucker, who fouled out with 4 minutes remaining, led all scorers with 29 points, 20 in the first half. Jalen Perry scored 17 points for Logan.
The Volunteers will continue play in the Sodeco Classic on Saturday with a 4 p.m. game against Don Bosco Prep.
