CARTERVILLE – The John A. Logan College YODA Club has scheduled a couple of community events next month.

Club members will host a computer repair day in the B wing, Rooms 73 and 75, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6.  Any Southern Illinois resident who would like to have a personal computer checked out and fixed, if necessary, may do so for free. Donations, however, will be accepted.

The club will also host a seminar for kids age 7 through 10 on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 9 to 1 in B 73 and 75.  At that seminar, kids will learn about computer repair, computer safety and how to write code.

Club sponsor Mark Rogers said the two projects are a great way for club members to provide a service to the community and further develop social skills.
