CARTERVILLE - Enjoy the combined talents of the John A. Logan College Choral Ensemble and the Logan Singers as they present the Spring Sing - New York City, a concert featuring Broadway tunes, on Friday, April 4, at 7 p.m. in O’Neil Auditorium.  Admission is $5 at the door.

Nathan Arnett, a music instructor and choral director at JALC, is directing the show.

“Our concert is centered around Broadway-style singing and music,” Arnett said.  “We got a great opportunity to perform on a Princess Cruise to Alaska in June, and we will be performing the same music on the ship as we do in this concert.”

Arnett said the concert is a fundraiser for the choir.

“We have been doing choir tours since 2008, and the Spring Sing helps us raise money to cover the costs of those trips,” Arnett said.  “In the past, we’ve gone to Walt Disney World in Florida, Springfield, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Branson, Mo., and we’ve performed at each place.  We have over 20 students going on the Alaskan cruise and we’re really excited about it.  We hope people will come to the concert to support us enjoy some great music.”
