HTML Text in Blackboard
Here is a way to spruce up your announcements in Blackboard. If you want to change the color of text, select the text you want to change and click the color box. You can BOLD just like in a word processor and change the font size to make things more interesting. You can also make a word, a phrase or and entire sentence into a link to somewhere else. If you click on this text it will take you to the John A. Logan College main web page. You will see how to do these things below.

Select some text and click on the Color browser button (shown on the left by red arrow). This will allow you to change a word or a sentence.

You can select some text and turn that text into a link.

Just click on the link button and type the web address in as shown in the image at right.

When you have made all of the text the way you want it and have put in the links you will need to go to View Page Source as shown at right.

You will now need to drag your mouse over the text and do a Edit > Copy so this information can be pasted into Blackboard. Start by copying from the word "Body" and copy down to where it says "Body" once again.
