Logan Memorial Collection

***Carl Cottingham, charter member of the college administration, was the Associate Dean of Learning Resources Services, (1968-1998).  Carl was instrumental in the creation of the Logan Memorial Collection, and initiated the procurement of Logan related items.  He became an expert and proponent of John A. Logan’s contributions to the history of southern Illinois and the nation, and Carl shared this information with the public at large through numerous presentations.  These papers reflect his early activities in the establishment of the Collection and his research associated with the life of John A. Logan.
