Wireless Printing Instructions

Wireless printing is now available. You can print from just about anywhere on campus and pick up your printouts at the Library Circulation Desk for 10 cents per page.

To set up wireless printing on your Windows XP laptop:

  1. Click on the Start Button.
  2. Click on "Printers and Faxes" (on right hand side of Start Menu).
  3. Click "Add Printer" (top of left hand menu).
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select "Local printer attached to this computer."
  6. Deselect "Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer."
  7. Click Next.
  8. Select "Create a new port" and select "Standard TCP/IP Port" from the drop down menu.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Type "192.168.225.7" in the "Printer Name or IP Address" field.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click Finish.
  14. Select "HP" from left hand box and "HP LaserJet 2200 Series PCL" from the right hand box
  15. Click Next.
  16. Select "Yes" or "No" depending if you want this to be your default printer.
  17. Click Next.
  18. Select "No" under "Do you want to print a test page?"
  19. Click Next.
  20. Click Finish
  21. Right click on "HP LaserJet 2200 Series PCL" In the Printers and Faxes window.
  22. Click on "Properties."
  23. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
  24. Click on Separator Page (towards the bottom right).
  25. Click on the Browse button.
  26. Double click on the last file "sysprtj.sep" and click OK.
  27. Click OK.
