IPP Grads are Going Places
The Class of 2000 moved into the new millennium by seizing opportunity.  They range from Arizona to Florida.
Lottie Grisham is at the University of Arizona.  She writes:  I am doing an emphasis in Educational Interpreting.  I will start ASL 5, a voicing class, and some others.  I am sooooo excited about this.  It seems as though everything is starting to fall into place.  I have had so many opportunities here.  I am working in a first grade class as an interpreter.  I am also working at a group home for the Deaf with Deaf adults that have cognitive disabilities.  I am a really busy person these days.  I have also started making friends with the people in the Deaf Community here.
Melissa Griffin  is in Silver Spring Colorado.  She writes:  Things are great here.  I am working a lot for the Sign Language Network. . . I joined CRID and hope to become more involved in the coming months . . . I will be taking 3 - two day workshops to complete my certification for educational interpreting.  I am also making
plans to take the RID written test soon.
Crystal Evetts and Rachel Bishop are in Indiana.  Crystal interprets in the classroom with a young deaf child, and also works for the interpreter referral service in Indianapolis.  Rachel is working toward a BA in interpreting at Bethel College in Mishawka, Indiana.  She writes:  I am doing really well.  I was very happy to see that my grades had not c hanged any in a university.  I still carry a 4.0 here at Bethel. . . My classes this year will be fun, I think. . . I am working every Sunday as a bus aid for deaf and blind kids to their state schools in Indianapolis.
Pam Geis is in school in Cleveland, Ohio working toward her BA degree in interpreting and counseling deaf people.  Gayla Titsworth, Brandi Lee, and Danette Connolly stayed in southern Illinois and are working as interpreters in elementary school, high school college, and community.
