RALLY in Springfield
There will be a r ally in Springfield to protest closing the Illinois School for the Deaf. The budget that the state passed does not include funding for the Illinois School for the Deaf and the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired. There will be a rally at the capitol, front lawn, in Springfield on Tuesday June 23 at noon. If you can go, please do. For more information go to the ISD website.
LEAD Picnic
August 15th Desoto Park.
ASL Deaf Chat
Thursdays at noon at the International room at SIU's Student Center (2nd floor) there will be an ASL Deaf Chat. Students should bring their own lunch.
West Frankfort Deaf Church
When: 2:00 P.M. on June, 27, July 25 and August 22
Where: Faith Assembly Fellowship 1819 Everett Street West Frankfort, IL. 62896.
After the service there will be a potluck dinner. Please bring a side dish, beverages or dessert.
