Hello!
As you probably know more and more deaf and hard of hearing children are being mainstreamed in their local schools and have very little or no contact with other deaf children and adult deaf role models. There is such a need for deaf children to socialize together and to meet deaf adults. This helps build their self-confidence and language skills.
