Paula's Page
Hi, I'm Paula Willig and I teach the interpreting classes here at John A. Logan. I've been here since fall of 1994. Before that I worked as a freelance interpreter and taught classes at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and Florissant Valley Community College in the St. Louis area.
I have my Master of Science degree from Western Maryland College in interpreter education. I also have Comprehensive Skills Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, a Comprehensive License from the State of Missouri and a Master License from the State of Illinois.
I've been really involved in online education. We have an online Educational Interpreter Professional certificate that I developed and teach. I also have online supplements for all of the courses that I teach.
I'm a member of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Conference of Interpreter Trainers and the American Sign Language Teacher's Association.
