The writing competitions also benefits the students in that they have the
opportunity to really work on translation of a text, and work on performing
that text.
After the readings,
several deaf and hard of hearing members of the audience congratulated
the students on a job well done. |

Two
1st Year Students are Chosen for Disney Internship |

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Philip
Brackett (back left) and Suzanna Gower (back right - engaged in group work)
have been chosen to intern at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. They
will be working in public service areas where they can use their American
Sign Language Skills to communicate with park guests.
Their
internship will be during the fall semester and they will receive credit
for their internship. During their internship they also plan to take
some John A. Logan courses on-line. |
