How do I apply for a scholarship?
In order to be considered for a scholarship you must complete a scholarship application and return it to the Foundation office. You must fill out a new application for each academic year and only one per year is required.
A link to the scholarship application is available at the bottom of this page. Scholarship applications are available in the Foundation Office, Room B33, across from O'Neil Auditorium. Applications for the 2011-2012 academic years, which runs June 2011 through May 2012, will be available in February of 2011. In order to have the largest selection of available scholarships you need to have your application submitted by May 31st of 2011.
If I miss the deadline what should I do?
After May 31st there may still be some scholarships available, so it is important to fill out your application and return it to the Foundation office even if you have missed the deadline. There are instances when none of the applicants match the criteria set to receive a scholarship. In that case the scholarship would not be awarded until an applicant who does meet the criteria applies.
What scholarships are available?
Go to the "Available Scholarships" page for a full listing of all available scholarships and the criteria for each of them.
If I have an application on file and I make a change to my schedule do I need to fill out another application?
No. Once you submit an application you do not have to fill out another one. We review all student applications every two weeks to make sure all of your information is up to date.
How will I be notified if I have been awarded a scholarship?
You will receive a letter in the mail informing you that you have been awarded a Foundation scholarship. Once you receive the letter, call and make an appointment to see the Director of Scholarships, Stacy Holloway. You will learn more about the details of your scholarship at that time.
Can I use my scholarship money to buy books for my classes?
In some instances you can, it depends on which scholarship you received. Contact the Foundation office before you go to the bookstore to find out how your scholarship works.
I presently have a Foundation scholarship and I have registered for my classes.
Do I need to contact the Foundation office to let you know?
