Dr. Sue Trammell’s Biography

Dr. Sue Trammell

Sue Trammell has been a biology instructor in the Life Science Department since 2001. Prior to accepting a faculty position at the College, she taught biology full-time for several years at Rend Lake College. Sue teaches biology for Non-science majors, Biology for Science majors and Botany.

She is active in both state and national biology teacher organizations. Her interests include assessment of student learning, distance/online education as well as international education. She has developed and teaches two online courses in BIO225 Genetics, and in BIO245 Conservation Biology. She is also International Education Coordinator at the College and arranges travel-study programs for students and teaching abroad opportunities for faculty. Sue received her ESL teaching certification from SIU-Edwardsville in 2008, and hopes to teach English as a Second Language in the future. In her free time, Sue enjoys being outdoors, reading, and traveling to new places.
