Dr. Sue Trammell's Biography

Dr. Sue Trammell has been a biology instructor in the Life Science Department since 2001. Prior to accepting a faculty position at JALC, she taught biology full-time for several years at Rend Lake College. Sue teaches biology for non-science majors, biology for science majors and botany. She is active in both state and national biology teacher organizations. Her interests include assessment of student learning, distance/online education as well as international education. Future plans at JALC include development of an online course in genetics. She is currently pursuing graduate coursework at SIU-Edwardsville to become certified to teach ESL, English as a Second Language. In her free time, Sue enjoys being outdoors, reading, and traveling to new places.
