Dr. Peterson currently teaches BIO100 and BIO205. Prior to teaching at John A. Logan College, she spent 12 years at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale as an instructor and a tenure-track assistant professor in the Human Nutrition and Dietetics program.

She is the owner of Southern Illinois Nutrition Therapy where she has specialized in eating disorders and healthy weight management for the past 15 years. Her hobbies include running, watching college football games (especially Nebraska), and chasing after her three teenagers.
