Keith A. Krapf (M.S. Southern Illinois University-Carbondale) is an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Life Science Department. He currently teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Biology for Non science majors, and team teaches Integrated Science for Elementary Education majors. Prior to coming to JALC, he was a Forensic Scientist with the Illinois State Police, an adjunct instructor at Rend Lake College, a seventh grade science teacher, and a high school Biology and Driver Education teacher and coach. He holds an Illinois Certification for grades 6-12 in science and Driver education. Keith is past Financial Officer and current President of the University of Illinois Extension Council for Franklin County and Treasure of his local congregational board. Outside of the classroom he enjoys family trips, his children and wife's activities and helping on his relatives farms. His parents are both retired teachers and instilled in him the value of education and life long learning. This influence led him to his chosen profession and he appreciates the opportunities and respect of working with his students and colleagues.
