Music Scholarship/Tuition Waiver

John A. Logan College will host Music Scholarship/Tuition Waiver Auditions on Thursday, May 14, 2009 beginning at 4:00PM in the O’Neil Auditorium. All area prospective students as well as returning students are invited to audition for these prestigious scholarships. Those choosing to audition should reserve an audition time by calling the number listed at the bottom of this letter.

The Choral/Vocal Program at John A. Logan College is coordinated through the efforts of the Humanities Department and music instructor, Mr. Nathan Arnett. Each academic year, the department hosts a Holiday Collage and Dinner Show, a Spring Musical, Applied Lessons Recitals, Performance Classes, as well as Guest and Private Studio Master Classes. The Department includes the John A. Logan College Orchestra and Band as well several private studios for many instruments including voice, piano, and guitar.

Full and Half Tuition Waivers

Full and half tuition waivers are currently available in both voice and piano. Vocalists and pianists are required to prepare two contrasting pieces from their repertoire and may be asked to sight-read. Vocalists must provide their own accompanist. Pre-recorded accompaniment is not permitted.

Please encourage your students and ensemble members to audition. A poster is included with this letter that may be photocopied.
