Mike Seagle's Biography

Mr. Seagle is an alumnus of John A. Logan College, where he received an Associate's Degree in Arts and Science in 1984, and Southern Illinois University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Acting and Directing in 1987. Following his undergraduate work, Mr. Seagle was the Artistic Director for the Boatyard Stage Company in Clearwater, Florida. He then returned to graduate school at the University of Illinois, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts in Stage Direction in 1991. Mr. Seagle has been employed by John A. Logan College since 1992.

Mr. Seagle's directing credits at John A. Logan College include Agnes of God, Betty the Yeti, Big Love, The Odd Couple, Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992, Fiddler on the Roof, Wild Honey, Anton in Show Business, Oklahoma!, Once Upon a Mattress, Redemption: A Dream Play about the Herrin Massacre (which he also wrote) 12 Angry Men, Steel Magnolias, I Do! I Do! Oleanna, The Importance of Being Earnest, Grease!, Noises Off!, Lips Together, Teeth Apart, and Rituals and Recollections (which he also wrote.

Mr. Seagle teaches Theatre Appreciation, The Fundamentals of Acting I & II, The Art of The Cinema, and Public Speaking.
