The Allied Health & Public Service at John A. Logan College strives to meet the varied health care and public service education needs of our district. Allied health programs currently offered include Nursing Assistant, Practical Nursing, Associate Degree Nursing, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Emergency Medical Services (basic, intermediate and paramedic levels), Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and Medical Assistant. The public service programs currently offered in our department include Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Interpreter Preparation, Massage Therapy and Tourism Management.

John A. Logan College is also a member of the Southern Illinois Collegiate Common Market (SICCM). The SICCM consortium consists of four community colleges and two major universities. A limited number of students from each community college district will be enrolled in Health Information Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Surgical Technology and Veterinarian Technology programs each academic year.
