Ken Gilbert’s Biography
Ken Gilbert, known to his friends and colleagues as Fog, hails from the Bronx, NY. He moved to Illinois when he was 9 years old. Fog graduated from Joliet Catholic High, had the pleasure of knowing the real Rudy as a schoolmate. Besides doing what he loves most, teaching, Fog teaches tennis for the SIU REC Center. He teaches kids’ camps and clinics for 7–14 year olds. Fog also writes poetry under the pseudonym of jacob erin–cilberto. He has published ten books of poetry, most recently “against the current” and has been published widely in magazines and journals in and outside of the United States. His poetry has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize in Poetry for 2006, 2007 and now 2008. He also teaches poetry workshops for The Heartland Writers Guild as well as the Southern Illinois Writers Guild.
