Healthy Child Care Illinois’s Mission and Vision:  

To enhance the quality, health and well-being of children in Illinois’ child care settings; to ensure that all children have access to comprehensive, affordable child care; and to provide the highest level of training to center and home based child care providers.  HCCI uses Registered Nurses with Public Health experience to accomplish its Mission and Vision.

Nurse Consultant

The Child Care Nurse Consultant provides many services to both providers and parents.

• Provide Child Care Staff Trainings
• Answer health or safety questions/concerns
• Distribute information regarding health and safety
• Promote quality child care
• Assist in the development of health policies and procedures
• Assist families and providers in the improvement of accessing quality child care for children with special needs
• Child Care Center visits and Home Provider Visits
• Consultations/educational sessions can be done in centers and homes
• Parent presentations/educational sessions
• And, so much more!
