Logan Basketball Signs Crater Sisters for 2007-2008

Twin sisters Shelice and Shenay Crater

The John A. Logan College women's basketball program has signed twin sisters Shelice and Shenay Crater of Homewood, Illinois, for the 2007-2008 season. A pair of combo guards and all-conference performers at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, Shelice averaged 9.2 points, three steals, and 2.5 rebounds per game as a senior while Shenay chipped in seven points and 2.2 steals per contest.

Marty Hawkins, head coach of the Lady Vols, is looking forward to working with the Crater sisters.

"I've been coaching for 28 years, and this is my first set of identical twins. It's going to be interesting," Hawkins said. "Shelice and Shenay are very good students, and they're both quick and athletic. They can run in an up-tempo offense and are really good perimeter defenders. We are losing a lot of speed to graduation this year and both players will help us fill that void."
