Hilton is one of eight freshmen on the Volunteers' squad this season, and he brings versatility to the perimeter. After a solid high school career in Seattle, Washington, he will compete at all three perimeter positions for Logan. With hard work and consistency, he will be an important piece of the puzzle in 2007-08.
Brooks is one of four sophomores on the squad. He comes to Logan after transferring from Division I University of South Alabama. The all-time leading scorer in Arkansas high school basketball history, he will compete at both guard positions in 2007-08. A two-time All-State performer with back-to-back state championships in Arkansas Class 2A, he brings scoring ability and experience to the team. With continued hard work, his depth and energy will be important qualities for the Vols.
Andrew is one of eight freshmen joining the Vols in 2007-08. A point guard from Proviso West High School in Chicago, he was a member of the AAU National Championship team in 2005. An honorable mention All-State performer last season, he brings quickness to the ballclub. With improved strength and hard work, he should enjoy a solid career as a Volunteer.
Matt comes to Logan in 2007-08 after his Bosse High School team finished runner-up in the Indiana State Basketball Championship last year. He will compete at the point and off guard positions this year. He brings solid decision making to the point guard spot and also has the ability to score. His hard work and winning attitude will be beneficial to the Vols this season.
Simon is another new face in 2007-08, joining the Vols from Warrandyte, Australia. He will play the guard and small forward positions this season. He possesses good perimeter skills and has the ability to finish in transition. He will provide scoring for this year's ballclub and his hard work should lead to a fine career as a Volunteer.
Justin, along with Jarvis Walker, is one of only two returning players from last year's 27-5 conference championship team. Competing at the forward and center positions, he brings great athleticism to this ballclub. His strength, rebounding, and scoring will be very important pieces to the puzzle in 2007-08. His experience and continued hard work will provide the Vols with scoring and rebounding production this season.
Chris comes to Logan in 2007-08 after winning the Class 5A State Championship at Jonesboro High School in Arkansas. A two-time All-State selection, he will play the forward and center positions for the Vols. He will supply hard work and toughness to Logan's inside game and should contribute rebounding and scoring this season. His understanding of what it takes to win will be invaluable to the team.
Jarvis joins Justin Banks as one of two returners from last season's 27-5 conference championship team. He will again compete at the guard and forward positions. His experience and ability to score in a variety of ways are important assets for this year's squad. With increased intensity and continued hard work, he should see an opportunity to play at the next level. His brother, Antoine Walker, plays for the Miami Heat.
Evin joins to the Vols this season as a walk-on after attending Southern Illinois University last year. A member of the 2005 Illinois Class A State Champion team at Hales Franciscan High School in Chicago, he will compete at the forward position for Logan this season. With added strength, continued hard work, and adjustment to the organized game, he will add depth and athleticism to this ballclub.
Norman is one of four sophomores on this year's squad. He transferred to Logan after playing his freshman year at Indiana State University. Having started several games for the Sycamores last season, he brings experience to a very young ballclub. His athleticism should provide scoring and rebounding for the Vols and should be an important factor in the team's success in 2007-08.
Dustin is a freshman out of Marion High School. He will compete at the guard and small forward positions for the Volunteers in 2007-08. An all-conference and All-South performer at Marion, he brings scoring ability to the ballclub. With improved strength and hard work, he will add depth to Logan's perimeter game this season.
Marc is one eight new players this year, coming to Logan from Stockholm, Sweden. He will compete at the power forward and center positions for the Vols this season. His size and strength will be helpful to the rebounding and inside-out scoring potential for this year's team. After adjusting to the American game, he should have a solid career at Logan.
