Herrin Night

The John A. Logan College Athletic Department will host Herrin Night on Wednesday, February 4. The Volunteers and Lady Vols will play Lincoln Trail College in an important conference doubleheader. The women’s game starts at 5:30 p.m., and the men’s game tips off at 7:30 p.m.

All Herrin residents will receive free admission to the games, and all Herrin students can enjoy free popcorn and Pepsi. Entertainment will be provided by the Herrin High School and Herrin Junior High cheerleaders and dance teams and the Agape Christian High School cheerleaders. Herrin athletic teams and school organizations will be recognized at the games.

T–shirts will be given away and prizes will be raffled off during both games. A few lucky fans can compete for prizes in halftime contests. Herrin Security Bank, Mayor Vic Ritter, mayoral candidate Jim Gentile, and Johnson–Hughes Funeral Home are sponsoring the event.

Filo the Fox, the Southern Illinois Healthcare mascot, will be on hand to greet young fans, toss out T–shirts, and pose for pictures. Face painting will also be available.
