Mark Imhoff

Mark Imhoff is in his 15th season as head men’s basketball coach at John A. Logan College. In the past 14 years, the Volunteers have posted solid records under his direction, winning Region 24 Tournament titles in 1999 and 2000 and the GRAC championship in 2007. His record is 279-171. Before assuming his current position, he served as the assistant coach for the Volunteers for 10 seasons. The team compiled a record of 214-118 during that time.

Imhoff, a native of Murphysboro, attended John A. Logan College and played baseball for the Volunteers from 1975-77. He transferred to Eastern Illinois University and graduated with a B.S. in physical education in 1979. While at Eastern, he worked as a student assistant for the Charleston High School basketball program.

Upon graduation from EIU, he worked as an assistant coach for basketball and football and as head baseball coach at Sparta High School before returning to graduate school in 1982. He graduated from Morehead State University in Kentucky with a master’s degree in education/counseling and worked as an assistant baseball coach at MSU until 1983. Before coming to Logan, he was the head basketball coach and guidance counselor at DeLand-Weldon High School in Illinois.
