John A. Logan College applications

Degree-seeking student application

This application is for the student attending JALC with the intent to finish a degree at JALC. This is our traditional application. The type of student this application is intended for should include students planning to complete their degree at the college or take most of their coursework towards a degree. This group of students traditionally would be applying for financial aid (you have to be a degree-seeking student to receive financial aid), but not all of this type of students will be receiving financial aid. We need assessment scores, HS and college transcripts, and proof of residency for the in-district tuition rate (copy of local driver's license, local HS transcripts, etc.).

Non-degree seeking student application

This application is for the student attending JALC without the intent to finish a degree. The type of student this application is intended for should include students planning to complete only a class or two, transfer students who want to attend to supplement their studies, and students who are taking courses in our CHEC facility. This group of students would NOT be applying for financial aid (you have to be a degree-seeking student to receive financial aid). We will still need proof of residency for the in-district tuition rate (copy of local driver's license, local HS transcripts, etc.).

Note - While we do not require assessment scores, high school or college transcripts for non-degree seeking students, you will be required to show proof that a prerequisite is met if you are requesting a class that has such requirements.
