Several volumes in the anthology series are still available. Volumes two and three are only $1 each, and volumes 6, 7, and 8 are $5 each.
Our storm stories anthology (Volume 8) was a best seller. We have decided to continue to have a theme for this year’s anthology--Giving Back. Submissions don’t have to be about giving back, they can be about anything, but “Giving Back” will be the Volume 9's sub-title. Writers can use it as a prompt to spark their creativity.
Submissions for the The Writer’s Voice, Volume IX Anthology are being solicited now. Submission deadline is August 31, 2010.
Anthology Submission Guidelines
- Only SIWG members may submit material to be published in The Writer’s Voice anthology.
- Submission must be an original unpublished work. It may be, however, an excerpt of a larger unpublished work.
- Prose, up to 1500 words, should be typed in Times New Roman 12 pt. font, double-spaced, with 1" margins. Please indicate if your work is fiction or nonfiction.
- Poetry may be spaced and arranged on the page as the author wishes.
- Multiple submissions are allowed. We will try to limit each author to approximately four pages in the final publication. Exceptions will be made for writing contest winners and entries.
- Include a no more than 50-word biography with the submission
- Submission deadline is August 31, 2010
Note to SIWG members who entered the writing contest: If you would like your entry to be included in the anthology, please inform the Anthology Editor. You do not need to submit another copy of your work.
The Editors will make every effort to clear editorial changes with the author before publication. This is best done via email, so be sure to include your email address. Please get your submissions in early.
