This group provides social/recreational activities for deaf and hard of hearing students and bridges the gap between the deaf and hard of hearing and others. It promotes a College-wide awareness of the deaf and hard of hearing. It also facilitates students in the Interpreter Preparation Program with skills development and introduces sign language to interested individuals.
This club promotes the knowledge of anthropology through practice, trips, and discussion with the aim to foster diversity and engaged learning for intellectual development.
This club is for students involved in the visual arts. Social functions and off-campus trips are scheduled as well as creative study.
This club is for students involved in automotive studies, especially those in the Auto Body Repair program. Social functions and off-campus trips are scheduled. This club is a VICA chapter and has competed in state and national competitions. It also conducts car shows and auto raffles.
This group functions to improve the image of students and professional auto mechanics by continued support of the WIASE Mechanic Certification program of energy conservation and environmental protection in automotive service areas. The organization also strives to assist with the re-education of automotive instructors and technicians in the new techniques and to support John A. Logan College and its academic and technological training programs.
The Biology Club seeks opportunities for excursions and provides an enriched environment for students preparing for careers in the biological sciences.
The Black Students Association is concerned with education, economics, and cultural enrichment as these pertain to the John A. Logan College black population. Social functions and off-campus trips are scheduled annually.
This club enables students enrolled in the Cosmetology Program to experience additional opportunities to further their knowledge in all areas of the beauty industry.
This professional organization is involved in specific activities pertaining to the dental profession, such as attending dental conventions and making observations at dental schools and/or offices. The organization also strives to make its members better aware of the activities of the profession.
This service organization encourages and supports John A. Logan College students who have chosen teaching as a career. The group awards scholarships and provides regular programs on educational issues and teaching as a career.
This club provides JALC students, faculty, and staff with a club where persons with similar interests in Fantasy and Science Fiction can socialize and play a variety of games based on and around this interest.
Club members participate in the production of low budget films written and/or selected by club members.
This organization provides foreign and domestic students and faculty with opportunities for social integration through programs and events designed to further international friendships.
This club is for students interested in the welding industry. Club members will also be part of a student chapter of the American Welding Society. The Society is recognized as the leading technical organization in the United States devoted to the advancement and interests of welding, joining, and cutting processes.
The band consists of volunteers from the student body and the community. The group plays at College and civic functions.

This club is open to any student interested in journalism. Most members are directly involved with The Volunteer, the John A. Logan College student newspaper. Students will travel to various printing places off-campus as available, attend social functions, and learn journalism skills.
The Christian L.I.F.E. club is a non-denominational group where Christian students can get together, encourage one another and find ways to impact this college with the gospel of Jesus Christ. L.I.F.E. stands for Living In Fellowship Eternally. It reflects the unshakable assurance we share, namely that eternal life and perpetual fellowship with God and with each other is something everyone can enjoy, if they accept the gift that God has freely given them.
The local chapter of Phi Theta Kappa was chartered on January 25, 1970. This national organization was founded in 1918, and is the community college equivalent of Phi Beta Kappa, the national honorary scholastic fraternity. Phi Theta Kappa provides recognition for academic excellence as well as opportunity for intellectual enrichment, social activities, and service to the College. Membership is by invitation.
This student organization exists to provide ample opportunities for involvement in practical applications of the concepts and principles of political science. This is accomplished by involvement in such activities as sponsoring campus political speakers, working in political campaigns, sponsoring voter registration drives, and traveling to the state and national capitols.
The Guild meets at the College on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Area writers discuss their past or present works. There are also frequent readings and other events.
The Student Senate is the official student government of John A. Logan College. The Senate represents the student body as the voice of the students. The Senate presents the needs of the student body and encourage students’ academic, service, social, and personal growth by conducting service projects and promoting student involvement on campus.
