Welcome to the John A. Logan College Self-Study Web Site. This website describes the College's self-study planning
process and the final report that has been submitted to the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central
Association of Colleges and Schools. This report was prepared in partial fulfillment of the requirements for
the college's request for a ten year reaccreditation.
On February 5 - 7, 2007, a team of six consultant evaluators will visit our campus to meet with students, faculty, administrators and community members. This visit will serve to validate the Self-Study Report and affirm that John A. Logan College is fulfilling its mission of service to students and the community.
I want to express my gratitude to the over 130 employees who have participated in the planning, information gathering, data analysis and preparation of the documentation for this report. The process has allowed us to reflect on how well we fulfill our mission goals and how we will challenge ourselves to address opportunities for improvement. By communicating these findings, we hope to inform both our internal and external constituent groups.
I look forward to our accreditation visit in February and am confident that the hard work of so many will be evident. This Self-Study process has been a positive learning experience for our College.
