HLC/NCA Overview
John A. Logan College established a plan to ensure that our self-study was comprehensive and inclusive of all voices during the process. The self-study process typically takes two years to complete and includes participation by faculty, staff, students, administrators, and community members. In fall 2004, a steering committee and five criterion committees were formed with over 130 individuals participating on working committees. Committees conduct in-depth research and data collection on specific HLC core components in their area. Criterion reports will be generated and submitted to the campus community for additional review and comment. After the committees complete their research, data collection, and writing, a final report will be submitted to the Higher Learning Commission prior to our on-site accreditation visit, February 5-7 2007.
